Reflections from the Interim

As the waning days of my ministry with you transpire, I want to offer my thanks for the privilege of being with you.  My regret has always been that I could not give you the full time you deserve.  You have been gracious with me in spite of that deficiency. We have shared humor over the question, “How many times have you retired?”  In checking my ‘historical’ record, I share with you the following: 1. After full time for 45 years in 1992   2. After 5 years at Unityville Charge 1997   3. After March-April at Heshbon/Eagle 1999   4. After September-October at TroutRun/Rose Valley 1999   5. After July-August at Avis 2003   6. After September 2006-June 2007 Faxon-Kenmar 7. After August-November at Trinity, Jersey Shore 2008 8. After April-June Faxon-Kenmar 2009.   One never knows when nor how often God calls to serve. I am sure you will give a warm welcome to Pastor David and Mrs. Chris Brinker.  I have known them from their youth.  They are a fine couple.  As you work with them together, I believe you will find it a rewarding experience for the years ahead. As always, Phyllis and I continue to wish you well and are glad to be counted among the friends of Faxon-Kenmar.  The 9 months plus the 3 months have given us a full year that blesses us with memories and friendship.  We support you in our thoughts and prayers.  God is with you. ~~Pastor Jack
