 Shirley Woodruff and Edythe DeMarco have decided to take over as Co-Presidents of ET and we thank them. On Saturday, October 10th, several ET Members and Friends, will be serving a lunch at the Sojourner Truth Café. ET has done this mission outreach for the past 6 years. Sojourner Truth Café is one of the few places that serves a meal on Saturdays. Every Saturday a local church or other non-profit organization brings the meal up to the Sojourner Café and serves over 100 local clients. A few years ago as part of the youth fulfilling their confirmation activities, they also served a lunch.
Anyone who has participated at the Café comes away from the experience, a changed person. The clients at Sojourner Ministry Center are as much interested in fellowship as they are in the food you provide. Anyone who is interested in helping, please contact Annette Foresman, as she is heading up this mission outreach (and we thank her for that). Faxon-Kenmar has been involved with Sojourner Ministry Center since its inception over 10 years ago, as we were one of its founding members.
The next regular meeting of the ET Circle will be Tuesday, October 20th, it will be a tureen dinner, it will start at 6pm, bring a casserole, a salad or a dessert and a FRIEND. All women and friends of Faxon-Kenmar UMC are invited.
