 Toys, toys, toys! We are so low on this item! If you have friends or relatives that are getting rid of outgrown toys, consider asking them to donate to the store. Our younger church population is not huge, so we are always in need of toys. Please make sure the toys do not have any broken parts and are complete. Also ongoing collection of box tops for education (make sure they do not have expired dates). We recently added $50 to our account from the auction of these! And thanks again to all who helped with our recent Christmas sale. We took in over $3500 for the two weekends!
Pastor Dave recently received a phone call asking if our Thrift Store gave clothes away. He explained under certain conditions we do.
The young lady calling said she was going for a job interview and didn’t have proper clothes. When she came to the store, she came with her sister. They told us they had just moved down from Erie and were abused wives. They came with just the clothes on their backs. One was also pregnant with her third child and found a top, slacks, and jacket which were large enough for her to wear thru her pregnancy. The other sister found a blouse, slacks, and jacket also. They were elated with their clothes and the store. We wished them luck in their job hunting and said to come back again.
