Remember when you were invited to a party (Pampered Chef / Tupperware / Home Interior, etc.) and you bought something you really didn't need because you really liked the person giving the party? Then you stuck it in a drawer or closet and forgot about it. Or your favorite (aunt / cousin / friend, etc.) gave you a piece of jewelry or a knickknack that you really didn't care for?Well dust those items off and bring them into the church's Thrift Store! You will clear some clutter out of your life, and help the church at the same time! We are in need of some really good knickknacks and jewelry! We are also low on good pots and pans and Corningware! Once yard sale season is in full swing, we get quite a bit of damaged goods (leftovers that didn't sell at a sale mostly because they were damaged), which we really don't have use for in the store. Our store is known for its quality, and we'd like to keep it that way. So we are in need of some really good "stuff"! If you have a neighbor having a sale, and they have leftover children's toys and clothing, you might mention to them that we could really use them! This is one category that we always are in need of – especially toys right now! But again, they must still be in good condition. And please, if you are donating a small appliance, donate the instruction book also. Many times a shopper will pass up an appliance they would like to have, simply because they don't know how to use it correctly. And if it doesn't work or only works partially, please don't donate it. We usually can't sell items that only part of the item works. This goes for radios, VCR players, TVs, etc. And again, thanks for all your support and donations! Without the giving of our members and their friends, we wouldn't be doing as well as we are! ~~Jane Pierce, Thrift Store Mgr.
