The Youth of Faxon-Kenmar have been very active the last month. They have been meeting every week, taking part in the “40 Days of Purpose”; they hosted an Easter Egg Hunt for many children of Faxon-Kenmar and Friends; and they are getting ready for their educational trip to Baltimore/Washington DC. We took a love offering for them in church on Palm Sunday, and the Youth would like to thank every one who gave so generously, they received approx. $370. They are still accepting donations, just make the check payable to “Faxon-Kenmar UMC Youth” and either give it to Janet Mahonski or Diane Derrick or just drop it in the offering plate, and make sure it is marked in the memo section that it is for the youth trip. In a few weeks the youth will be selling "Colors of Faith," magnetic ribbons which can be displayed on your car as a witness to your faith or as a colorful decoration for your fridge. They will sell for $2.25 and all proceeds will go towards the youth trip. 0ne will be on display in the narthex. Thanks again for your support! On Friday, April 11th, the youth will be having a “lock-down” in the church, to get more comfortable with each other before their trip. They will get more information about that in the next week from the Pastor and their advisors. All youth 6th grade through High School are welcome and encouraged to be a part of the Faxon-Kenmar Youth Group.
