• FAITH – we endeavor to build each other up in the faith, having opportunities for spiritual enrichment and growth as brothers in Christ. (suggestions: continue Men’s SS Class, small Bible studies and prayer groups in homes, guest speakers for monthly meetings, retreats). 

• FUN – we want to spend some of our time enjoying each other and God’s wonderful creation (suggestions: picnics, sporting events, Crosscutters, Yankees, Little League, bowling, golfing, camping, day trips).

• FELLOWSHIP –we want to provide opportunities to get to know each other and serve God (sugges-tions: breakfasts, wild game night, Habitat for Humanity, church work days, Mission Central, Walk to Emmaeus, UM Men’s National Rally - Summer 2009 in Nashville). 
  

Habitat for Humanity, church work days, Mission Central, Walk to Emmaeus, UM Men’s National Rally - Summer 2009 in Nashville).  We’re “kicking things off” by attending the Conference’s Annual Men’s Spring Rally to be held on Friday, April 4, 2008 in Lewistown at 6:30 PM.  We would like to car pool from the church.   Leaving by 3 PM, we will have time for a dinner meal together on the way and arrive in plenty of time for the opening of the Rally.  Please let David Koskey or Pastor Bill Myers know if you are able to go ASAP.  We now have enough men signed up to fill ONE van, let’s see if we can fill several vans and make a “CARAVAN” to Lewistown! It is ALWAYS AN INSPIRING AND REWARDING EVENING. The Lewistown UM Church is usually packed with men from all over the conference!

    Next, we will have a Saturday Morning Breakfast, May 10, 2008 from 8AM -10AM.  After a big hearty breakfast, we will share our thoughts on the future of this group with your input and make definite plans for the schedule ahead. 

We have been asked by the ET Circle to help with the Women’s Banquet on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 beginning in the afternoon to help set up, then serve at 6:00 PM in the Faxon Kenmar Becht Center - God’s Workshop.  The meal will be catered and they will need us to serve and cleanup.

     Thank you to the Men who so willingly helped with the annual Paper Co-op February 28-29, 2008.  The donation we receive from distributing the tons of paper to area churches from that trailer truck in our parking lot will be the seed money to begin our organization.

We’re excitedly praying for a great response from ALL THE MEN OF THE CHURCH (Members AND Friends).  We have a wonderful potential to make a difference in our lives and our church. Be part of the new United Methodist Men!
