 The Faxon Kenmar United Methodist Men’s Chapter reorganized on Saturday, May 10, 2008. After a hearty breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit and cinnamon rolls, the following officers were elected: President – David Koskey; Vice President – Bruce Huffman; Secretary – Don Garver; and Treasurer – Jack Little. Dick Wible volunteered to be the contact person for the Hospitality Committee when they want the UM Men to help setup and tear down for church events. ET Circle asked the men to serve and cleanup the Women’s Banquet on Tuesday, May 13th. Many men showed up to complete the task. THANK YOU MEN! Future events will be planned using a 3F-Formula of Faith, Fellowship and Fun. Many ideas were discussed. Definite plans include a Summer Picnic at Gray’s Run, a Father/Son outing to the Little League Championship games and/or the Williamsport Cutters games, and a Fall Weekend Retreat at Central Oak Heights, We are investigating the possibility of tours through Jersey Shore Steel and Allenwood Prison, working at Mission Central and visiting the Mechanicsburg UM Children’s Home. We decided to meet regularly on the Second Saturday Morning of every month starting in September. It is our hope that ALL MEN of the church will feel welcome and want to be part of this brotherhood of Christian men. Check the weekly bulletins for updates on our summer events.
