“For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.”1 Corinthians 6:20 Recently Kari & I purchased an elliptical trainer to try to help us in our effort to exercise. A very clear principle from scripture is that what we do with our bodies honor or dishonors God. While the Bible does teach that the spiritual is of greater worth than the physical (1 Tim 4: 7-8 Determining how we honor God with our bodies is a process of progression. No one will ever have the perfect fitness, diet, or body, but God does not look for perfection but looks for progress. Some of us struggle with obsessing with how we look. Some of us struggle with eating disorders, anorexia, bulimia or struggle with living a disciplined lifestyle, which results in overeating, poor food choices or lack of any, or proper exercise. Looking inside the circle of ourselves will not produce lasting purpose or results and surely will not honor God. Worship is not for the body; the body is for worship. Is it not the right choice to look outside of you and to look to God? Take the Step out of the Circle. Under The Mercy,
