The church sponsors a Community Sacred Music Concert Series. Guest artists, ensembles, and choirs perform at 2:00 PM on Sunday afternoons. All concerts are open to the public with free admission.

2018 Festival Choir

Dear Festival Choir Singers,

I regret to inform you that there will NOT be a Festival Choir at Faxon-Kenmar United Methodist Church this spring.  As Director of Music, I have had to take off January and February for health reasons.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the total Festival Choir experiences but under the circumstances, we will have to take this year off.  I trust you and yours are off to a better start this new year than I am. I pray for all of you and I know that God is blessing each of your lives as you have certainly blessed mine.

Please plan to join us next year for the 2019 Faxon Festival Choir!!

Rooted deep within the American string-band tradition, Lavender Blue brings a sound that is both familiar and fresh. Tight vocal harmonies, poetic song writing, and flashy fiddle playing blend within the ranks of this six-piece ensemble. Clever and playful at one moment and profoundly spiritual the next, Lavender Blue is a continuation of the musical echoes that have resonated throughout the Appalachian hills for centuries.
