Update on Church Activities and COVID-19

Dear Friends in Christ/Brothers and Sisters of the Faith connected with Faxon-Kenmar Congregation:

I have just received this notice from Bishop Park.   Please read it and pass along his message to those who may not have email. Be sure to read the Full Letter.  He is asking us to suspend worship and activities for the coming two weeks.  We will be suspending our worship at the church and all activities for the next two weeks. Continue your faithful life this week as we move through some of the uncertainties we face.  Let me know how I can support you and encourage you to be a support and encourager of others–in Christ’s name.  Please see my earlier email (posted here) for information regarding helping others at this time. Trust that God is ever present and walking with us through this challenging time.  My phone number is 717-377-9266.  We will be checking the church phone messages, as well.

God’s peace be with you.

Pastor Susan

Dear Laity and Clergy of the Susquehanna Conference,

As your bishop, along with the leadership of the Annual Conference, I implore our Susquehanna Conference churches to suspend all gatherings for worship and other activities for at least the next two weeks. This is a very hard decision, especially because we are in the midst of Lent, one of the most sacred seasons of the church year. However, during the time of suspension we can be more intentional and be focused on the Lenten disciplines of solitude, reflection, and repentance. This season can help us deepen our spiritual connection to Holy Week and ultimately Easter when we celebrate new life.

Please see the attached letter for the full text.

Thanks and Blessings,

Jeremiah Park and the Full Cabinet
